Subject: FLASH: Flash Player 5 - ARRRG!

Just curious why the Flash5 Beta player is available for public consumption.
I thought it was a developers release only.

The owner of one site I developed insist that visitors are given the option
to go to MM site to DL the Flash 4 player so a link is provided if detect
shows Flash4 player is not installed.

This site DOES NOT work with Flash5. And ofcourse people (common Joe surfers
who probably don't know what beta means) are downloading the Flash 5 beta
thinking it will be better and then return to the site to find it doesn't
work. ARRRG!

Damn! Now I am email/talking one potential customer on uninstalling the
beta5 player so 4 can be reinstalled so they can go look at the friggin site
. . .

I have already replaced the download page at this site with a warning NOT to
download the 5beta . . . but why do I have to do that?!?!

On a more positive note - Thanks for removing the "Now proceed to
Shockwave.com" Link on the after download page. I really really appreciate
that!

But now it seems I have a new problem with the download page.

I sent this to the Flash5 email as well . . . There is no email the
webmaster link at macromedia.com. I have needed it several times now.
