My apologies... I didn't realize until just before leaving yesterday that

there are actually *two* pages with the link to the beta player:


This URL is okay, because people have to hunt to find it:

This URL is NOT okay, because it's the default for the Publish templates:

I'm sorry that your general web visitors are exposed to this additional

address. The general public won't file useful reports to the Flash dev team

like actual Flash designers will. Matt W and I are both pushing to get this

resolved ASAP.


We still also need the following on the public beta page:

a)  The feedback address (

flash5_playermacromedia [dot] com

)

b)  Necessary version, URL, problem etc info (see previous posts)

c)  A list of known problems


Once again, my apologies... this second address should never, imho, have

had that link. Thanks for getting the true nature of the problem into my

skull... now let me go pound on some people....  :(
