Definitely doublecheck the info in the Director docs about optimizing SWF
sprite performance. In the browser we've just got one large SWF playing,
but when Director is hosting you can have multiple simpler SWF sprites, so
the optimization info is very important.

(Just on a wild hunch too, if your Director framerate is set to 120 fps or
so then it will *try* to reach that framerate, even though it might only
achieve 30-60fps. If you've chosen to have the Flash sprite play as quickly
as it can, then the computer will usually have more idle events if Director
is running in the 15-30fps range, depending on content.)
