simple. the republicans stripped the credit from the script, but it was
taken directly from dynamic drive.
www.dynamicdrive.com
specifically:
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/trailer.htm

there's a working version at
members.aol.com/hephaestdc/ravegear/earth_lofi.htm (which i want no
critiques on- it's the hulking remains of an old portfolio thing that
went the way of the event. probably should have called the site "let's
see how much shareware javascript i can throw into a single useless
project." warning- the splash page will crash netscape.)

this is the header:

<!--
/*
Cross browser cursor trailer script
By Brian Caputo (bcaputoaticdc [dot] com)
Permission given to Dynamicdrive.com
to feature the script in it's DHTML archive
For 100's more DHTML scripts and components,
visit Dynamicdrive.com

<insert muttered comment about republican integrity here>
