Subject: FLASH: OT - Advanced Scripting help required
From: Jeff Talbot

Hi again to all on List. A quick Q. for the Scripting Guru's out
there...

I am currently looking into the possibility of using Flash to help
'web-enable' an existing application.
The main stumbling block at the moment is that of customisation - I have
set up a navigation system which mimics standard program menus
(containing about 200+ options), so far so good. What I need to do is to
allow for the user to customise these menus, and even add their own
menus if required. My thinking is that through the use of variables,
JavaScript, and permanent state cookies, that this is possible - but I'm
a mere designer, not a scripting expert.

If any of the elite few on the list that eat scripting for breakfast
would be interested in
a) looking at the test .swf's and more detailed brief to see exactly
what I mean and tell me if it's possible/feasible at all
b) and if so, undertaking the project on a freelance/consultancy basis
for the scripting issues
please email me off-list to discuss further. TIA.

Season's greetings to all
(please don't include this well-wishing in the silly little flame war
currenly in progress)
