I'm new to Flash so please be kind if I'm way off the track...

But couldn't you just host the .swf file on a remote server then in the HTML
email have the code access the Flash file using an absolute URL instead of
trying to find the file locally?

example:
<EMBED src="http://www.yourdomain.com/flashfile.swf" etc.></EMBED>
