i cant give anymore details than i already did. 

Basically, when exporting icon size graphics to gif

format and inserting them into an html document,

somewhere along the line they go all funny looking. 

for example, what looks like an ellipse in flash,

doesnt look anything like an ellipse when viewed in

photoshop.  So it's not me...
