Reading the ReadMe can save you from such dire life-or-death choices! ;-)

(If you opened up an old project in the new trial, then go back to F4 in
your backup copy. If you don't keep backup copies, you must, preferably on
a different drive. If you create a new project then the old app can't read
it. You can bring back an old SWF, but that won't hold the editing
structures found in the FLA.)
