depends on your version of director.
7 - not really. the workaround is to import your sound as an audio only
quicktime and use the movietime property to control it.
8 - yes! 8 has a whole host of new sound handling functions, a little like
the attachSound method in flash 5. Look in the online help under Sound,
where you can find out about queueing, playing, pausing, looping,
loopStartTime etc.etc.
