Subject: FLASH: "javascript:" for network URL
From: Erik [gearik] Mattheis

I want to send a message to a javascript from the movie using "javascript:"
- what do I have to do to make Internet Explorer understand? ... the whole
see saw movie is a button with the action

on release > get URL > URL: > javascript:enteR('lets_learn.html')

http://www.mplsheartfoundation.org/kids/

The same function is called when you click the hyper-text "enter"

Why does this work in Navigator but not IE ? - (4.5 Mac PPC)

(I know I can accomplish the same thing in other ways, I just want to know
if I'm missing something, or IE is missing something)

Also ?'s from a previous post that are as of yet unanswered:

1. In a 4.0 browser, is any of the new window with the movie obscured by
the Windows task bar?

2. Does anyone know a method to detect whether Java is enabled in Navigator
3.x?
