Hi Joost.
This is a lovely piece of work. I love the mousePress animations you've
done (how about moving the shadow with the envelope? you can limit the
visible area of the shadow by putting a circular mask on a mask layer
above it). The drawing, use of color, and sleekness of animation is terrific.
It loaded fast and played smoothly for me (56k modem, P166MMX, 2meg video
RAM -- not a super machine). Personally I don't think 107k is
unacceptably large. You could do a bit more optimization by making greater
use of symbols. Every rivet and star could be the same circular symbol
(make the original the size of a star, so the stars don't need any
transformation, since there are more of them). I say some little drawing
artifacts when zooming in -- find them all and delete them. For example,
the upper right edge of the spacecraft seems to have an extra border around
it, with some bits of old rivets, etc. Other examples: every thumbtack on
the picture of the woman should be the same, the two hearts could be the
same symbol (flipped, if you like, for variety). Look at your lines where
they meet -- they can be snapped together at the ends and optimized using
modify>curves>optimize and playing with the settings on that feature.
This is the feedback you asked for, but I want to repeat this is a great
piece. Please post when you have more!
