I do have the same problem. I just sort of gave up and settled for using
the goto frame thingy to show an instance. I stoped going the animation
route. The thing that gets me is when I go slow with the mouse it looks
great!

But what do you mean by "continuous feedback button"?

Hi Brian,

My system is a 350 PII with 128 MB RAM.

The only way I get this button to work smooth is by using a continuous
feedback button that plays my OnRollOut animation in reverse to create the
OnRollOver animation. But I don't know if you can get sound to play in
reverse? I really want to just get a simple solution for this problem so I
can create this kind of animated button without it being so complicated to
create.

Have you had this problem? I have been flogging this poor button so badly I
have it therapy twice a week now. I think I should spend the $100 an hour on
a Flash Tutor instead.

Bye
Larry

I am wondering about the same thing. I want to know if this is an issue of
machine horsepower or is it a limitation of flash. I mean how can we know
if we are doing something wrong. Its almost if Flash can't handle
animations that result from mouseevents using "tell target. Is it true that
flash can't handle this or is there a workaround.

Hi All,

Well I'm back with my almost working animated button!

In Test Movie my animated button works (OnRollover, OnRelease and OnRelease
animations all in one MC with a transparent button and Tell Target actions).
That is unless I move the mouse too quickly on or off the button. At which
time it starts to jerk between two static frames when I rollover or rolloff
the button. Or after the first OnRelease event, after which it also starts
jumping between the same 2 frames when I rollover or rolloff the button.

Is it possessed. Calling all Flashorcists. Someone please take me to the
promised land.

Thanks,
Larry Eisenstein
