Re: FLASH: Flash loading problems (begging on my knees now)

My flash movie/test is running funny while it's still loading and I could

use any advice or direction that you experts might offer me.  To put it

bluntly... I'm dying over here, hehe.   I'd just blow on past this problem

for now but I'm at a point that I really need to get this settled before I

go on.


Here is the situation....


Click to the URL and the movie starts

2 picture buttons come up

the movie continues to load

If at THIS point you click the left button it doesn't go to the right spot

in the movie.  In fact... instead of heading to frame 36 where it's supposed

to go it proceeds to the next frame (I think 15) and begins running.


My theory...  While Flash preloads the movie it's easily confused.  When the

link says head on over to frame 36 it doesn't know how to get to frame 36

yet because it hasn't loaded that far yet.  Soooooo what it does is load the

farthest frame it's gotten to in the preloading process. (in this case like

15 or 16 or so)


If this is true, is there any way around this rather DEVESTATING problem?

Do I need to cut this baby up into scenes?  I've read John Croteau bag on

those many times BUT... if it's the only way, then...  Anyway, maybe it's

just something I can fix in Aftershock... or a setting in Flash.  I don't

know and any advice or marching orders would be GREATLY appreciated.   The
