IMHO, Xara3D fills 98% of all 3D and rotating text needs of an average
Flasher. It can export AVIs, BMPs, PNGs and images can be individually
traced (in Flash, and it generates a nice "hand drawn" effect).
To use 3DS Max to render 3D text and flying spheres is like using Julia
Roberts as a escort to a child birthday party.
Of course, the +8 months learning curve does not help, either. (MAX
learning courve, not Julia Roberts')
Corel does have some semi-professional 3D tools, too.
