Ahh.. but you are incorrect sir...
Generator is a lot more than most people think.
It is the only dynamic graphics application server on the market. Generator
is for a lot more than just flash. You create your templates in flash, but
then your output can be anything from an SWF, to GIF, to MOV, and even EXEs
for PC or Mac. Generators charting capabilities make programs like Crystal
Reports look like a joke... not to mention, its other dynamic insertion
capabilities... GIFs, JPGs, text, SWFs, WAVs... and all of this information
being inserted on the fly can come from text files, middleware such as ASP
or Cold Fusion, files via HTTP, files via FTP, direct calls to ODBC
databases (you put your SQL *inside* of the template), or even Java class
files. Not only that, but all of the information generator uses can be
variablized and brought in via another datasource.
There is simply nothing else out there like it!
Generator is an *enterprise* level solution, and both its power and price
reflect this.

You wouldn't think Generator would be that expensive, but it is ($3000).
And yes, all it seems like it is, is a plug in for Flash (but I'm sure it's
more than that). But it does take Flash a step farther by allowing you to
dynamically create Flash movies.

Generator is a macromedia product It shouldn't be that expensive since it
must be used with other programs(I think)
