Subject: | FLASH: Mac and file types |

I archive my fla files on my ISPs UNIX server and often get fla files
from a co-worker who uses Win98.
These files of course do not come with a file type or creator when I
receive them or download them.
I am unable to open these files from within Flash 4 or even double
clicking and choosing Flash without manually adding the file type
(SPA ) and creator (MFL2). Doing this, the file opens and works
properly.
I am wondering if this is the usual behavior for Flash 4 or if I have
something weird going on. It is a bit of a hassle (though Snitch
makes it easy), and is thoroughly un-Mac like.
Regards,
Bill
