Files you upload yourself should keep the info in the resource fork. If
these are being stripped, then you should inspect your FTP tool for
settings like 'strip [Mac] resources on upload', where you should also be
able to single out FLA file types (while allowing JPGs, et al to be
stripped, which is a good idea for web-media)
As for your W98 partner, there's little you can do without some effort on
his part, so I suggest you just write an AppleScript and attach it to a
Folder Action where you can just drop your "naked" FLAs,a nd they will
instantly become Mac-resourced.
