As far as I know, Flash don't support 3D-graphics. You have to design it
outside Flash and then import it into Flash. You can also use some of the
programs to import 3D or 3D-animations into Flash.
Sorry, If I'm wrong- I'm just starting in Flash.

Subject: FLASH: Load Movie basic question
I am using the load movie function to play a background music track that
the user can turn on and off from the main movie using tell target.. I
can't recall off the top of my head, whose tutorial I used to do this, but
my thanks go out to them.
My problem is this. When I package for the web I can resize the browser
window and when the load movie function is called the browser window stays
the same size.
However, when I package as an .exe file and maximize the screen, when the
load movie function is hit, the sound starts to play, but the window
changes size. I need the loaded movie to not effect the size of the
projector window.
Could someone steer me in the right direction to solve this?
Thanks,
Lee

Yes we've come across it before, unfortunately I can't remember how now.
It's useless... at least at this point in time... maybe it was something they
were toying with and forgot to take out or it will be added in with Flash 5.
But it does nothing right now.

In your file exchange control panel, set flash as the handler for files
with an .fla extension.
This works fine for me with both unixen and pc files (can double click
or open from flash normally), though for some reason I can't get it to
put the flash icon on the file...(it does put the proper icon on .swfs,
though).

I generally do a simple check, small movie that get urls the main flash
site. Many of the sites with auto-detects seem to use rather sloppy
java/javascript code that works poorly if at all (if you think about it
the java/javascripts are searching the HD for the plugs and/or other
such intrusion, so of course system and network resources get
hammered).
As a side note, notice how so many web designer job descriptions ask
for people who are expert flash/shockwave designers, 3d animators,
digital video experts, _and_ expert java/javascript coders? As it
anyone could be expert (or even highly competant) at any one of the
above without spending 90% of their time on it....;-).

Subject: Re: FLASH: Loading .mov files
Depends what you mean, you can import movs to add flash content to, and
re-export them as movs w/flash3 content (flash 4 specific commands
won't work in QT). (file import, set keyframes at each end of the mov,
add your flash3 content, and export as QuickTime).
On the other hand, if you want to produce a .swf with video content,
you need to import a series of frames. Open the mov in QuickTimePro,
export a series of numbered frames, and import those frames into flash.
Test the movie with various still image compression settings to achieve
the effect (quality vs. file size) you are looking for.
