Carla,
A movie clip has its own set of coordinates that are different from the
main movies coordinates. On the main time line the 0,0 is in the upper
left hand corner of the stage. In a movie clip the center mark is the 00
point. If you want to take something from a mc and paste it to the exact
same location on the main timeline, look at the x,y coordinates in the
Object Inspector and write them down. Then copy you item and go to the
main timeline and paste. Keep the Object Inspector open. Edit the x and
y coordinates to be the same as the ones in the movie clip. that should
do it.
