FLASH: Music streaming/Flash/Director?

I've noticed a few sites, Shockwave and Flash, where the music or sound 

seems synced to the video very closely.  


I am wondering if you can get more precise control of sound streaming 

and/or events with Director and Shockwave than you can with Flash.


Anyone? Anyone?
