I *really* gotta get some sleep soon! :-) But your question made me remember ...
<cue: violins>
... my high school (elective) Art Class teacher Mr. Romich. First day of class,
first thing he does is silently walks up to the chalkboard and writes, in big
capital letters,
FORM
FOLLOWS
FUNCTION
We spent the rest of the hour discussing the implications of this then-novel
concept.
BTW, Mr. Romich also suggested we "look through magazines" to get ideas for art
projects. Today he might suggest looking at TV (esp. sports broadcasts, many
commercials, news cable channels, Fox Network, Turner's networks, etc.) for
inspiration for Flash ideas ... "food for thought" kind of stuff. There's
*plenty* out there ... if you haven't yet checked, you'll be amazed at the
amount of TV graphics effects that you can look at and say, "I can do that in
Flash!" (Just one path.)
