You could put whatever fade-in transitions you want to

achieve in the beginning of the movie clip itself. For

example, you could tween from a 0% Alpha transparency

to a 100% Alpha transparency over the first 20 or so

frames. One word of caution though, large Alpha

transparencies can appear "jerky" on slower machines

(it's a CPU, not memory issue).

I haven't tried this part, but I believe you can use

the same technique at the end of your MC. Remember to

put a stop action in the MC so that the content is

displayed. When the user hits "home" or whatever

button will get them to the main time line, the MC

will continue to play, showing the fade-out. You will

need an action in the last frame to send them back to

the main time line, though.
