I couldn't agree with you more David. I also have  the ArtZ 12*12, although 

sometimes I wish I bought the 6*8 because it is so much thinner and more 

compact, would be so comfortable to use.


I also have the button set up the same way and often use it to surf instead of 

my keyboard. I also own a smaller Calcomp Ultra Slate and I don't like it 

nearly as much. The pen is not as comflratble, neither is the motion or feel of 

using it. The Wacom is just pure joy to use. I use it with Painter the most, 

and someone on that list suggested placing a piece of paper on top of your 

palette for a more natural feel to the pen and I tried it and it works 

wonderfully.
