HIya Craig,
Ive seen very smooth animations on my ole "tester" p133. The animation speed
depends
on how much animation is happening at one time. Most designers (including
myself) make the
very simple mistake of "over doing it". When you've developed for CD-rom and
3dAnimation with
AVI and different video formats, you tend to outdue some of the more lowly
processors when developing
in Flash. Another thing that chugs the prosessor is the "alpha" option in
FLash3 and tweening gradients
and animating objects with detail. When designing for the "general public"
its probably a good idea
to animate using solid colors and fonts and use your design experience to
make it interesting and professional.
Of course even the 166s are now considered the low standard. We bought 2
p233 about 6 months ago and
they're becoming dinosaurs quick! Oh well, thats technology.

They worked on computers and had a website.
