Indeed!. If your using Flash3 and require the viewer to have the plug in why would youthink about using frames? You can avoid frames altogether with the "load movie"
feature in Flash3 and it be much quicker. Simply create a navigation system on the "lobby"
level and keep it uncovered by additional movies loading.

I can see frames being used in very special cases like calling up alot of text, but even graphics
load up faster in Flash than regular gif or jpg and you can be much more creative with almost
no size increase to introduce imported images. Personally I get fairly annoyed when someone
has used Flash3 with frames. 1st you have to wait for the HTML to load and _then_ the .swf,
and if they've used live connect, your IE viewers are screwed.
why? Much faster to just load the .swf with the "load movie" movie feature. Ive noticed on some very
nice looking sites that the bare HTML file takes longer to load than the .swf. because the author
was clueless on "load movie". I think the best sites arent just the ones with incredible graphics, but
the ones that have been designed to work well in a 28.8 world.

Flash3 makes it real easy for the designer.
If your working in Flash v3, you really can avoid alot of the FS command, JS, and HTML hoopla
by simply mastering some of the things you sometimes dont feel like mastering..

Anyone else see a advantage in using frames with Flash3? I would like to see a list of the advantages
of using frames, Javascript, or FS command with Flash by some of the more experienced designers,
even used in Flash games. I think it would be a great topic to discuss.

John C, anyone?
