DG,
Please help me to understand the way Flash 3 saves images. You stated
that...
In FLash3, you can import image as png format and it will save the alpha, so
the backgound will
automatically be transparent. Of course this doubles the image's file size
on
export of .swf.
My movie is bitmap-heavy. I have imported all of my graphics in .PNG format.
They contain no transparency. Is this going to make my final .SwF HUGE? If
so, is there any way to convert these images to .GIF or .jpeg within Flash,
or on export to movie?
I expected Flash to discard the original .PNG files on export the way an
animated .GIF does.
thanks,
Hollis
