Here's the 'official' PR hype ;)
===================================
Description:
Play a full 18 holes on our virtual golf course using the latest
Shockwave plug-in. Features include: personal club selection, aim and
swing controls, golfer positioning, hole-by-hole scoring, sound effects,
detailed graphics, and animation. Players can also zoom in-and-out and
rotate the golf course. Additional features, including tournament and
multi-user play, are forthcoming in future versions.
Technical Details:
Flash Golf has been designed to be licensed to interested parties, such
as online services and golf courses, so they can host their own unique
version of the game. Many aspects of the game can be customized
including the graphical interface. Each golf course is independent of
the game engine, so the course can be updated or changed without having
to modify the Shockwave applet itself. Future versions will allow
players to select from a variety of golf courses, and share their high
scores with other players.
The first licensee of Flash Golf is TELUS Corporation, a widely-held
public company. It is Canadas third largest telecommunications company,
with more than 10,000 employees and $4.2 billion in assets. Through its
subsidiaries, TELUS provides local and long distance phone service,
Internet, multimedia, wireless, data and advertising services. Flash
Golf will be profiled on TELUS' golf web site at:

entertaining interactive multimedia productions for the Internet,

User and Beta-Tester Comments:
Rob Wolfford, Magnet Interactive <www.magnet.com>, proclaimed the golf
game as "AWESOME!", as did John C. Ware, a Macromedia Director
Engineering Manager <www.macromedia.com>. David Calaprice, Macromedia
Engineer, said "Very cool! Excellent graphics. Lots of fun... I love how
the camera tracks the ball, and zooms out for long shots, etc... Game
play is smooth too. Impressive!" Roy Pardi, of The Imagination Club,
said, "This is one of the most interesting on-line interactive games I
have seen."
