Question about LAYERS

Hi all!

Does anyone know if you can combine layers within a scene to reduce file

size and make a few heavy graphics load faster in the movie? I'm

creating files in Flash 2 which will be used in Authorware and delivered

shocked. Unfortunately, the ActiveX plugin for Flash3/Authorware/HTML

isn't around yet (or is it?)

Can anyone help?
