Yup, we've been searching for a "AtoB" solution for weeks now for animated3D
techniques in Flash.
Unfortunately this seems to be the only way.
I was at Siggraph this week and talked to about every 3D animator
I know and they had no answers that I already havent figured out.

It a "by hand", frame to frame kinda thing and it was obvious that Matinee had to
take this route.
They executed it very nicely btw.

I have no idea what it was originally created in, out of Flash it becomes jpg.
I believe Josh is on the list though. Josh? How did you create that butterfly?

Yup it says right on their site that they used MAX. But you could use
just about any 3D proggy. Since your exporting jpg or bmp. Rhinos' cool and not
expensive. We're fixing to
order Maya(NT) from Alias Wavefront, which was very impressive at Siggraph this
year.
We need it for CD and video, not Web application. I cant see spending 10 grand
just to use it
for exporting sequenced images for FLash "traceover" use.

Not on the net.We are still wrapping up production of our personal web site.
Shouldbe completed within the next couple of months. We will post it to the
list for a critique.

We are still finishing up some fairly large projects. Were kinda new at the
web design thing. Flash is probably the main reason we took interest
in Web advertising opportunities.

take care.
