Subject: [q:] scrollbars on the Mac
From: Steven Warren

Hey folks,

I'm having a problem on the Mac with scrollbars showing up in a frame
that's got scrolling="no" set.

The frame in question is the main "content" frame at
http://www.fashionhouse.net. If you click around inside, you'll see that
certain pages trigger the scrollbars. If you click on any greyed out
button on any submenu, it'll send you to a Coming Soon screen that *always*
throws up scrollbars. Once the scrollbars are there, they don't go away
until you go back to a submenu page, which is a whole 'nuther frameset that
gets loaded into the content section. There are other pages that
intermittently cause scrollbars, but they're less predictable than the
Coming Soon pages...

here's the embed source I'm using for the flash movie... you can see it's
quite large in h,w dimension:

<OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://active.macromedia.com/flash2/cabs/swflash.cab#version=2,0,0,0"
width=973 height=778>
<PARAM name="Movie" value="coming.swf">
<param name=play value=true>
<PARAM NAME="Loop" Value="False">
<param name="salign" value="tl">
<PARAM NAME="bgcolor" Value="#FFFFFF">
<param NAME="quality" VALUE="best">
<param NAME="scale" VALUE="noborder">
<EMBED src="coming.swf" width=973 height=778 loop=false play=false')
mayscript salign=tl quality=best type=application/x-shockwave-flash
pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Vers
ion=ShockwaveFlash">
</EMBED>
</object>

All of the intro animations with the flying circles use identical embed
code, and are the same size, but don't show scrollbars unless some other
page turns them on.

I don't know what's going on here, but maybe somebody else has a clue?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions...
