AFAIK this cannot be done smoothly in Flash; a new version of the sound
must be started for each volume level. It can be done smoothly in Director
or if you are using Beatnik that can be done smoothly also. The basic
Flash structure would be the same as calling on a sound to play, except
that you would stop the first sound (probably using a "stop all sounds"
action) and start the new sound. If you have many sounds rather than just
one, you will probably use nested movie clips and it will get very
complicated. Flash4 scripting makes it more manageable.
