FLASH: Flash crash

Hi,


Has anyone ever heard of this problem:


Flash 3 and 4  crash my Mac 4 or 5 times a day. There are three types of

Crash (in no particular order) Crash 1 - it quits Flash with an error 1.

Crash 2 - it blocks the machine and I have to use Cmd/Alt/Esc to get

out. Crash 3 - It crashes the machine totally and can't even show me the

normal Mac "reboot" message. In the third case I have to shut the Mac

down using the button on the mac (Cmd/cntrl/restart on the keyboard does

not work). In the third case the files are often damaged and when I try

to reopen the file I get the message "unexpected file format". I cannot

even open the file as a library in this case.


This happens most frequently when I am working in the actions window. It

smometimes happens when I double click on a keyframe or object to work

on the properties.


I thought this problem came from my Mac (a 7600/132 with a great many

extensions / programs etc). I recently bought a brand new G3 400 and

have installed only Dreamweaver 1.2, Flash 3 + 4 and Virtual PC 2.3. The

problem is no less severe.


Any ideas - I'm at my wits' end.
