This is another VFAQ.  Here's the answer from Matt W (I bet you could

also find the answer in the technotes at

Text fields - unlike type blocks - do not include font outlines in the

SWF.

    Therefore, to assure text in text fields shows up in:

    -mask layers

    -rotated symbols

    -scaled symbols

    Modify the text field properties and include font outlines.
