Subject: FLASH: fake 3d navigation question

Hi,

a friend of mine is working on a university project in flash and asked me
to do a 3d navigation similar to the main menu in "Tomb Raider" (if you
ever played that game)
The part of rotating and scaling ONE menu items seems simple. (take a look
at my first approach to the problem at
http://www.handlanger.de/nav_test.swf --- btw --- i cant get rid of the
flicker that occasionally occurs, are some of the sin/ cos tables found on
the net inaccurate?)

There are two problems
1. I dont know how to manage the Z Axis problem when i have more than one
menu item.
2. I'd really like to help him out but actually i don't really have the
time to figure this out myself...

So my question is, does anyone of you either have an math dummy proof
explanation of how to do the z-axis limbo or (preferrably) a *.fla file
where i could steal this navigation concept ?

Check out this Site to see that this (and a lot of other crazy stuff that i
will not be able to figure out in a 100 years) is possible.
