so does this mean it is better to load .swf files rather than movie clips or as
I get more into all this...will that answer be more obvious...when to use which?

Yes, movie clips only play once completely loaded.

A scene would work, but if your main movie is only 60k,
it doesn't sound like you need a preloader at all. Especially
if it is nearly the same size as the main movie.
