FLASH: Dynamic TextField

[Scott Raven]

I am trying to accomplish a simple change in the displayed text in a 

textfield, and having no luck.

I drop a textfield on the stage in the first frame.

I type in "text"  and set the properties diasable editing and disable 

selection.

I insert a second frame, and in the action dialogue I

 SetVariable: "TextField" = "new text" 


Hit play and --  no dice. Help?
