Balthesar...will they sponsor you with the H-1 visa?  Our friend from australia 

was given an offer by a company on pine also (not balthesar) - and was told by 

their immigration attorney the earliest they could get him here to work is 

October 2000 - which is fine for him...


I think it sounds like a great experience for you and your wife...

while living in sf, you won't need a car....you can always hire one for weekend 

trips now and then, and there are trains to beautiful areas nearby.


If you have an opportunity to work in the heart of this internet and design 

culture, wow!  it may not be all milk and honey, but it's a great experience 

and sf is an international culture...don't know if there's a turkish community.


I left san diego 9 months ago to move here...I don't recommend it - a totally 

different culture than SF and getting very congested - awful traffic.


I don't know anything about Sacramento...


Neither San Diego nor Sacramento are commuting distances from SF...You can work 

here and learn and then take it all back to Istanbul and be on the cutting edge 

in a few years!  good luck,
