Hello I'm a Flash Developer in S.F......It really depends on your experience
and skill level with Flash. What's your skill level? Beginner,
intermediate, expert...? Does your portfolio exemplify your skill set?
Have you created games or complex interactive interfaces? Do you understand
tell targets? Variables? Optimization? Sound Issues? Can you manipulate the
Html that your swf. resides in? Do you use JavaScript? If your answer is
yes for most of these questions you should be in the ballpark range of 75K -
120K. Are you really comfortable with your skill set? Can you sell your
self? I've been freelancing for about a year, and just recently have been
offered a salaried position for 6 figures...I believe most of that salary
was obtainable through experience. 50k is not bad for a beginner......just
keep working on your portfolio and start shopping it around... aim
high...S.F is the place to be ......

For those of you that live in SF-- I've asked this q before but lost the
email that had the answer. :)

If I work in San Fran for 50K doing flash development and web design, will I
be homeless?

Is 65K/yr more reasonable? The job is in Santa Clara but I would be living
in SF as close to Golden Gate park as I could get.

Please respond asap-- I'm supposed to get back to a job with my wage.
;) -- thanks!
Olga
