because it hasn't been done before. Now, the next notch to raise the pole
will be to implement this kind of technology with solid game play.

And now for something slightly more OT

I don't think vector will replace raster for gameplay. Imagine Quarke done
in vectors. Blah! And by the time really good games are developed in vector
format, a lot of people who are looking to play games online, will have the
bandwidth to play raster-based games (in my opinion) which afford a realism
that cannot be duplicated by vectors. The future of games lies in virtual
reality, 3-d and all that, not vectors which is truly a step back (remember
asteroids and tempest?)
