Interesting...

I'm just coming off of an argument on another mailing list about

http://www.tvtrecords.com and someone's insistence that a commercial website

not cater to what this person considered a limited number of people (such as

those of us with the Flash plug-in). Another comment this person made was,

despite the fact that he uses a UNIX operating system both at home and at

work, he said he had never seen any worthwhile Flash content!

Not with no plug-in on his UNIX machine, he didn't.

I told him as much, but still insisted that people not be forced to have to

get some plug-in to view a website, especially a commercial one.

IMHO, UNIX is NOT the de facto standard OS to surf with, so why should

plug-in manufacturers, any more than anyone who decides not to create for

certain OS's with a smaller community of users , bother? It's all business.

I told him the Flash plug-in is harmless and that any respectable websurfer

would have it installed.
