Hi there... You will remember me.. if you realy want all that info including approximate costs in NZ Australia USA and possibly India then send me more detailed info... schedules etc... and whirlgirl is blocked to anyone outside USA so I can't see what you are aiming for.. if you could save part of it as a file and send it that would help a lot.
If I have a talk to some contacts it may be possible to use a head animator or two from Engilsh speaking countries and then use the ultra cheap labour from someplace like India to do the donkey work.
For reasons of industrial sencitivity I could help but you would be best keep this conversation private. The info always leaks out, but you are best to have a good head start on your compeditors.
I might even be able to help with marketing spin with any luck.
If you are serious about this then contact me directly. It seems that the ony person who has experience in a traditional paper studio on this list is me... I might be wrong though (apologies if I am)... I wont be able to give any help on the cost of flash production, thats where any one of the other experts here can help... I do doubt if many places would be able to quote you both the pencil and paper animatioon and the flash on one document. Some places might claim they can but a lot of smaller companies do exxaggerate their capabilities to get work and the quality of the resulting product is often lower than anticipated.

I've posted a similar inquiry but received no responses, so I'll try again:
Can anyone give me a rough estimation of what an episode of Whirl Girl (www.whirlgirl.com) probably takes to make? I'm trying to get a handle on how many animators, how long, and how much $$. My company is trying to complete a budget forecast for an upcoming animated series similar to Whirl Girl. (I'm only interested in the actual costs of the Flash character animation. VO, music, writing, and storyboards budgets are already in place.)
By the way, after we work out our budgets and schedules, we're going to be hiring.
Thanks,
Tim Doherty
