Thanks helen, I've been going around saving snippets of code for reference.
I'll take a look at those sites. My big problem is that they have done such
a great job over the years with the Director Online Help System.(so far
anyway). Lingo is so extensive and Falsh actionscript is so simple but I've
found it much harder to work out exact syntax with Actionscript because they
refuse to put it in their help correctly. My main problems have also stemmed
from trying to target movieclips and loaded movies at various points in the
hiearchy of the flash system which is further compounded by the absolutely
atrocious bug in Flash that wont allow any targets to show up in the target
editor unless they are on the same level. Grmph.
