3D Studio Max is a good choice, and definetely better than Strata.

When I asked a few graphic artists what 3d software to go with, they told me
SoftImage3dExtreme or Maya were the best choices... Given that either one
alone costs more than any car I've ever owned, Strata3d or Swift3d would be
a better choice. You can find SoftImage and Maya out there if you look hard
enough tho.
