Hi Max

Thats fine.

But as a New Media design company we decided to put up some Flash...thought
it was a bit more interesting than a static message.

The date thing is personal preference. Since we had no idea when the site
would be up (it took a back seat due to other work) we skipped it.

Also our site is purely an on line portfolio and so there arent a great deal
of people on the edge of their seats waiting for it to go up.

However, in the right circumstances i thing your views are spot on.
Its just that not every client/site/job/market is the same.
