OK this is where I come in!

I have a variable database which I would love to be able to take data
from ansdpost into a Flash page.

If anyone could point me to a tutorial or help me with this I'd be very
grateful.

OK let's see if I can get you started in the right direction.

Yes this level is easy. Just choose GET or POST according to your needs.

I lost you here. If you can see the value in the html then you can
dispatch it to the movie using the SetVariable(Var,Value) FS Command.
Now if you want to retrieve data from the database to populate the
fields in a form, then the best approach is via LoadVariable. This
allows you to receive using GET or POST or directly (e.g.. from an ascii
file)
