FLASH: will FLASH 4 play FLASH 2?

Hi


I've just been to a site that said it was unable to detect the FLASH 

2.0 plug-in


So, I followed the link they had to the Macromedia site and it took 

me to a page that allowed me to download the FLASH 4 plug-in.


Does this mean FLASH 4 is not backwards compatible? or

Does this mean I have to find the FLASH 2 plug-in somewhere?


Many thanks in advance. I appreciate this may have been covered in 

previous discussion, sorry to make those applicable repeat themselves.
