FLASH: seemingly simple question

hi..

   Is there any way to control(play with) the mathematical animation curves

in Flash?  I come from an Alias/3d studio background and this is how you can

control every aspect of animation and tweening... I figure there must be a

way to do this in Flash, but I can't seem to find the control...
