Hi, all.  Sorry for the Off Topic, but it IS for a Flash movie........sorta

kinda.  I am building a financial calculator for a car dealer site and

trying to verify that the answers I get using the client-provided formula

are the same as the on-line financial calculators I have found...BUT his

formula is in Spanish and I'm

not sure how to convert APR to TDM (Tasa Directa Mensual)


Here's the formula he provided

I = TDM en %

T = Plazo en mesas

C = Amt to finance


(T x I x C+C)/T + (0,0027 x C) + (I x C x 0,21)


Now, if I assume that TDM is APR divided by 12, I get much higher payments

than I should.  So, I THINK that TDM is not directly related to APR?   But I

can't find anything on the internet, because if I search under Tasa Directa

Mensual, I can't read the answers!  ja ja ja


Maybe it is a different part of his formula that is incorrect.  I actually

thought that the formula was much more complicated than that, and had some

exponentials or something in it (I have a Flash movie that is a perfect

calculator from Daniel Votino's site, but it is difficult to extract the

"formula" from that to use in an ASP calculator, which I have to provide as

an alternative site) and you can tell I'm wonderful at math!  NOT!


Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
