Subject: | FLASH: Sound sampler/organizer (help!) |

I am new to flash, but not to design, and so one of the first things I
did when I began learning about flash is making sure I have some decent
plug-ins and resources -- such as sound fx to put into my .fla's. Went
to a great site @ http://www.flashzone.com, and downloaded hundreds of
sounds to put into my files. Uh oh, I've really done it this time. I
have managed to port all couple hundred of sounds into a new library
available to my other movies, but how the heck do I know which is which,
with names like snd001?? At flashzone they had a cool button rollover
effect that would sample the respective sounds as your mouse went over
the button, which is how I chose hundreds of good sounds amongst those I
did not want so fast.
So now my problem is, how the heck do I choose the right sounds, with so
many in my library? I just cannot see myself pressing the pay button for
a few hundred sounds before I hit on the one I want -- that could take
hours! What would be great is if I could have something like at
flashzone, but a whole screen filled with small rollover buttons
corresponding to every sound in my folder/library, each with a tooltips
type popup text listing the name of the file for reference. My question
is,
1) Is there any second party software that will let me sample all those
sounds to find what I want fast in the manner described above, or close
to it?
2) Is there any way of auto-generating an .fla movie with rollover
buttons that will accomplish this?
I would really appreciate any assistance in this matter, it would really
save hours and hours of wasted time.
