Hi, Brian.

Yes you can do that. I think this person's problem with that is she wants
the internal elements of the .fla to be smaller, not just the resultant
movie, so that she can use them inside another movie. I remember a mention
of trying to use it as a load movie into a movie-clip so that she could
re-size it that way inside the other movie, but that that solution would
require the re-write of 100's of tell-targets within the movie.

In this situation, then, I think the only solution will be to try the "edit
multiple frames" and even then, shrinking things after-the-fact can be a
mess. The font sizes are no longer what they say they are, any
actionscripting involving scale will be off, and any further size adjustment
will be difficult, because straight-graphics use the new scale as 100%, but
symbols retain their original scale (that is, when you inspect them after
scaling them this way, they will show 75% or whatever) unless you go in to
each and every one in edit mode and scale within there.
